Dear Orono School Community Members,
As announced in June, we are now conducting a search for a permanent superintendent to start July 1, 2017. Our current interim, Mr. Tracy, has been encouraged to apply but it will be a full open search and the position has already been advertised. We will be forming an advisory committee to assist the board in screening and interviewing candidates. We seek representatives of all major stakeholder groups including teachers, administrators, hourly staff, OHS students, and parents/community members. If you would like to participate, please email email@example.com with a brief statement (a few sentences) of why you are interested in participating and what experience or qualifications you bring. To participate you will need to commit to be available on the evenings of January 17th, January 24th, January 31st and the late afternoons of January 26th and 27th. Please submit your interest by email no later than January 6th. We will be announcing the committee members the following week.
