Every Student Succeeds Act Report Cards
RSU 26 uses a variety of assessment data to support our pursuit of instructional best practice across the district. Through consideration of student performance on these assessments, we work to ensure that our approach to teaching and learning continues to meet the instructional needs of each and every student. Although we encourage students and parents to participate fully in our assessment program, it is important to note that parents/guardians may opt their child out of state testing. If you are interested in doing so, please reach out to your child’s principal to make this request in writing.
Each year the Maine Department of Education issues a report for each district and each school These reports summarize state assessments and other data for students in Grades 3-8 and 11. The report also contains information about teacher qualifications. State law requires those are available to the community, and the ESSA Dashboard at the Maine Department of Education allows you to review report cards for RSU 26 schools as well as schools and districts across the state.
