RSU 26 has brand new kitchens! We are looking for responsible and motivated individuals to help plan, prepare, and serve students attractive and nutritious meals in a clean, efficient, and friendly atmosphere.
The position requires long periods of time standing and the capacity to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted. Good communication, math, and computer skills are a must. Experience with Excel, Word, and the Google platform is preferred. Problem-solving and critical thinking skills are essential.
Food safety and cooking skills are required, and knowledge of school nutrition is preferred. A Serve Safe Manager certificate is highly recommended. A criminal history records check (CHRC) from the state of Maine is required for employment. This is a full-time (25 -30hr) position Monday to Friday with benefits included. Pay dependent upon experience.

Orono High School
Orono High School is a dynamic learning community of just under 400 students who are supported by an incredible team of educators with a steadfast commitment to facilitating the success of every student in our diverse community.
We are seeking a full-time, friendly Administrative Assistant to work in the High School Principals’ office. This position requires the ability to multi-task in a busy atmosphere. The successful candidate will be responsible for school level, athletic and other fiscal responsibilities, along with other duties and tasks to assist with overall office procedures. Must be able to communicate effectively with high school students, families and staff. This is a year-round position and includes a competitive benefits package.

School Health Liaison – 1 year position
RSU 26 is seeking a candidate who will work to support district contact tracing and the work of the school health team. The ideal applicant is a credentialed nurse or nurse aide to support our district contact tracing process and testing program. Candidates without experience in the medical field will also be considered. Candidates should have excellent organizational skills, be proficient with technology, be a fast learner and able to multitask with attention to detail and efficiency. Work schedule is flexible (15-40 hrs/wk depending on availability of candidate and case count within district), but does include some evenings and weekends for contact tracing.
Pay commensurate with credentials and experience.
RSU 26 is seeking a dynamic, responsible individual to help support health services within our schools.
Responsibilities will include: Symptom assessment, administering temperature checks, conferring with school nurse, supervision of students in the health services area, medication administration, first aid administration. Candidate must be willing to complete any related training (i.e. First Aid, CPR/AED). Candidates should be comfortable working with children PreK-12. CPR/AED training preferred.

Orono is looking for energetic and motivated substitute teachers to work with students at all levels. The candidates should have completed 2 years of college and enjoy working with children and teens. Flexibility is a must. We have lots of opportunities for the right candidates. Must have up to date CHRC.
