Mr. Michael Tracy has almost 20 years in the education. He is a caring person, and is excited to be back in Maine. During the last 3 years he has served as Headmaster/Superintendent of Temecula Preparatory School, a K-12 public charter school in southern California with approximately 1200 students.
Mr. Tracy was born and raised in central Maine. Having only one occupation in mind, late in high school, he went to the University of Maine at Farmington to complete his undergraduate work studying History and Education and earned a Bachelor’s degree there. Later, while teaching he went on to earn his Master’s degree at the University of Maine at Orono in Educational Leadership. Spending many years in Maine early in his career he taught almost 10 years in grades 4-12, and now has almost 10 years as a senior administrator filling roles formally and informally as Assistant Principal, Principal, Special Education Director, Assistant Superintendent and Headmaster/ Superintendent. He is a kind hearted and fun loving person who is down to earth. His leadership experience as principal began at Harmony Elementary, then Ridge View Community (Dexter) and finally Clinton Elementary. In 2013, he and his family decided to venture to California.
He highly values communication and maintains an open door policy, and is deeply committed to education. Mr. Tracy continues to be a life-long learner and is here to listen and learn from this beautiful community, while offering solid educational leadership services.
