Student Success/Library ED Tech III

Orono High School is looking for a student-centered, high-energy, and innovative individual to work with high school students as a Student Success/Library Educational Technician III. In this school-year position, the individual will work with faculty and our student information system to identify students at risk and establish varied systems of support to address barriers to success. The position will be housed primarily within the library and will have responsibilities for library support and supervision as well.  Student Success responsibilities include (but are not limited to): utilizing PowerSchool data to identify at-risk students; participating in weekly Student Assistance Team meetings; tracking student progress; providing daily support of work completion; and making 504, special education, alternative education, and other service support referrals to Student Assistance Team as necessary. Library responsibilities include (but are not limited to) supervising students, monitoring attendance, and assisting with daily library management tasks. 
Current Educational Technician III Authorization from the Maine Department of Education, appropriate certification and CHRC some background in Response to Intervention (RTI), and the ability to work with students who demonstrate challenging behaviors and academic needs are required.

Ed Tech II- PreK Classroom

Asa Adams Elementary School in Orono is looking for a full time ed-tech II to join our learning community in Pre-K for the remainder of the 23-24 school year and beyond. The suitable candidate should be organized, self-motivated and enjoy working with our youngest learners! Permanent Substitute Teacher

RSU 26 in Orono is seeking to hire 2 permanent substitute teachers for for the 2024-2025 school year.  One permanent substitute will be working at Asa Adams Elementary, and one will be working at Orono Middle and High Schools.  

This permanent substitute teacher will be used in either a classroom-based substitute role or a support role, and will be shifted as needed.

Full Time Custodian

RSU 26 is currently seeking qualified applicants for full-time, year-round custodial positions.   Positions are available for evening and day shifts.   

 The selected candidate must meet the following qualifications

  • High School Diploma/ Equivalent

  • Maine Criminal History Records Check (CHRC) clearance is required to begin work

  • Ability to work effectively, flexibly, and harmoniously with others including students, staff, and administrators

  • Physical ability to lift heavy objects weighing up to 50 pounds, ability to climb to the height of the school roof/ceiling

  • Ability to operate cleaning equipment normally associated with high-traffic facilities

  • Ability to meet/complete responsibilities as listed in the job description.
